Creativity works very different for everyone but here are some really good methods as a starting point:
<aside> 👉 I am an architectural student. I want to start creating unique designs of city urban development. Can you come up with 20 different strategies of how to create unique looking city blocks? Let me show what I mean. I have those two approaches now: 1) I take the outline of each parcel and subdivide it into gaps and dashes. Each dash is offseted inwards and thus I create footprints of buildngs. By varying dash/gap ratio I can also affect density. 2) I take a predrawn building outline and place it in the middle of each parcel (I subdivide plots in parcels beforehand) and orient it so that it faces the street.
I want you to come up with 18 other approaches. They should be pretty realistic and fit good to european architectural tradition but please be creative. I will use it to create parametric models and compare the resulting generations.
